I created this one of a kind Origin Sling from a soft and drapey, vegetable-tanned cowhide, which I dyed in my studio using natural indigo. I combined it with another hide, which I dyed with invasive fennel that I collected locally. The fennel dye bath revealed some interesting markings, that looked very much like arrowheads to me. I decided to work with them and incorporated some stitching, bringing these interesting shapes to the forefront. The result is a dreamy, earthy piece that remains lightweight, subtle and neutral.
