I was asked to participate in a group show in June ‘24 at The Department in Morro Bay, California. Because it was very much a surf/skate inspired show, I wanted to challenge myself to revisit my auto trimming techniques, but apply them to an object that would fit in with the rest of the curation.
This IF deck had been hanging around my studio for awhile.. so I took a stab at wrapping it. It was a big hit at the show and a few months later someone actually purchased it, which was pretty exciting because I had never sold a purely decorative wall piece before. It’s such an honor that this is now hanging in someone’s home in Long Beach, CA. I’m excited to do more interior design and innovative decorative pieces like this in the future.
